Als kind leren we wat \u201caanvaardbaar\u201d is \u2014 via blikken, woorden of stilte. Wanneer we iets doen dat afwijzing oproept, ervaren we een pijnlijke spanning tussen wie we zijn en wat we denken dat we <em>zouden moeten zijn<\/em>.<br \/>Ook cultuur, religie en gezin spelen een rol: ze vormen onze ongeschreven regels over goed en fout, over \u201cwaardig\u201d zijn of niet.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Evolutionair gezien hielp schaamte ons om bij de groep te blijven \u2014 maar in de moderne wereld kan ze ons net als:<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:quote --><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIk ben niet goed genoeg.\u201d<br \/>\u201cAls ze dit van me weten, zullen ze me afwijzen.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-dd3babb elementor-widget Als kind leren we wat \u201caanvaardbaar\u201d is \u2014 via blikken, woorden of stilte. Wanneer we iets doen dat afwijzing oproept, ervaren we een pijnlijke spanning tussen wie we zijn en wat we denken dat we zouden moeten zijn.Ook cultuur, religie en gezin spelen een rol: ze vormen onze ongeschreven regels over goed en fout, over \u201cwaardig\u201d zijn of niet. Evolutionair gezien hielp schaamte ons om bij de groep te blijven \u2014 maar in de moderne wereld kan ze ons net isoleren. Hoe schaamte wordt ervaren Schaamte is vaak lichamelijk voelbaar: een brandend gezicht, neergeslagen ogen, spanning in borst of buik. In gedachten klinkt ze als: \u201cIk ben niet goed genoeg.\u201d\u201cAls ze dit van me weten, zullen ze me afwijzen.\u201d Ze maakt dat we ons terugtrekken, perfectionistisch worden, of net gaan pleasen \u2014 allemaal manieren om die innerlijke pijn te vermijden. Hoe je schaamte kan helen De paradox is dat schaamte, terwijl ze ons liefst laat verdwijnen, verdwijnt in het licht van verbinding. Herken haar: merk op wanneer schaamte opduikt \u2014 vaak als stilte, spanning of defensie. Normaliseer: iedereen kent schaamte; het hoort bij mens-zijn. Praat erover: deel wat je voelt met iemand die empathisch luistert. Schaamte verliest kracht als ze woorden krijgt. Oefen zelfcompassie: behandel jezelf zoals je een vriend zou behandelen. Onderzoek de bron: welke overtuiging zegt dat jij \u201cniet genoeg\u201d bent? En van wie komt die eigenlijk?
